You occasionally get to charge rent from players by landing on the property with Rent Targets. And once you have added a hotel on all properties of the same color, you can use the Color Set Wheel every time you land on them.
How to Get and Place Houses and Hotels in Monopoly Go
You get houses by building and upgrading Landmarks in Monopoly Go. As you can see in the above image, in the upper right corner are all the houses I earned by upgrading and building these landmarks.
- Go to your main screen and tap on the Build button from the bottom. This will take you to the build and upgrade section.
- Tap on the landmarks and grow them to get the houses and hotels in Monopoly Go.
- Now, press the X button from the bottom of the page. This will take you out of Build mode and you will see houses being randomly placed on your properties. It will look like a meteor shower, where in place of a meteor, houses are falling.
Even though this process is random, there are some rules to it. Such as when a single tile has 5 houses on it, it will automatically turn into a hotel. So keep upgrading and building till you have placed five houses and upgraded them to a hotel in Monopoly Go.
