How to Unlock All Abilities in Halls of Torment
You can unlock abilities in Halls of Torment by completing specific quests using certain characters (or classes). While a majority of abilities are available from the start by default, some abilities need to be unlocked. Ensure that you have unlocked all characters in HoT, as you will be using only the required characters for these quests.
So, let’s break down every ability and how to unlock them:
How to Unlock Dragon’s Breath
You can unlock Dragon’s Breath ability by completing the Inferno I quest in Story: Scorched Earth. For that, you must deal 300,000 fire damage in one run using the Exterminator character. If you haven’t unlocked this character yet, complete the Ember Dominator I quest while progressing through Chapter II: Ember Grounds.
How to Unlock Kugelblitz
To unlock the Kugelblitz ability in HoT, complete the Shield Mastery I quest using the Shieldmaiden character. You must deal 300,000 damage with the shield bash to complete this quest. It is the second quest while progressing the Chapter III: Forgotten Viaduct questline.
How to Unlock Meteor Strike
You can unlock the Meteor Strike ability by completing the Thunderstorm I quest while progressing the Story: Lightning Storm. For that, you must deal 500,000 damage using the Sorceress character.
How to Unlock Radiant Aura in Halls of Torment
You can unlock the Radiant Aura ability in Halls of Torment by completing the False Blessing I quest during Story: Unholy Crusade. The required character for completing this quest is the Cleric. And to complete this quest, you must deal 500,000 damage in a single run with Cleric. If you haven’t unlocked Cleric yet, complete the Lich quest by defeating the Lich during Chapter I: Haunted Caverns.
How to Unlock Summon Golem
For unlocking the Summon Golem ability, you must complete the Demonic Commander I while progressing through the Story: Demonic Pact. The required character for completing this quest is Warlock.
Aside from the above list, many magic abilities are unlocked from the start as mentioned earlier. They are as follows:
- Transfixion
- Phantom Needles
- Ring Blades
- Lightning Strike
- Arcane Splinters
- Astronomer’s Orbs
You don’t need to complete any quests or perform runs to unlock their base stats. However, as for the ability upgrades or Mastery I, II, and III in Halls of Torment, you must deal enough damage in a single run using the abilities.
