How to get the Maelstrom mutation in Grow a Garden
The Maelstrom mutation can be obtained when the Cyclonic and Tempestuous mutations get combined. Here’s how you can get each of them:
- Cyclonic Mutation: There’s only one way of getting the Cyclonic mutation in the game right now, and that’s via the Griffin pet, which can provide it. Its Glorious Wings power works like this: Every 15 minutes, it releases a Cyclone, and pets struck with it will have their cooldown advanced by 60 seconds. However, the fruits that get hit have a 10% chance to get the Cyclonic mutation.
- This pet can be obtained from the Skyroot Chest and only has a 1% chance of hatching. The chest can be crafted with 199 Robux or the following ingredients:
- 2x Beanstalk Crops
- 1x Sprout Seed Pack
- 1x Sprout Egg
- 7,500,000
- You can also obtain it from Goliath’s Goods Friendship stock for 1,500,000 Sheckles when you reach Friendship level 1.
- Tempestuous Mutation: This can be obtained when Windstruck and Twisted mutations are combined and can also be applied by the Pterodactyl pet.
You can get Windstruck mutated crops during Windy or Gale weather events, via pets with the Windy mutation, or even by using the Mutation Spray Windstruck. Meanwhile, the Twisted mutation is obtainable during the Tornado event, or it can be added by the Pterodactyl as well.
The Maelstrom mutation in Grow a Garden provides a x100 value multiplier, so it’s worth having it in your garden. Visually, it gives a neon blue color to the fruit with some VFX.
