The Seedling Pet in Grow a Garden is a cute new pet added in the Beanstalk Event and is available only for a limited time. Here’s how to get it and what it does to help increase the value of your crops or other pets.
How to Obtain the Seedling Pet in Grow a Garden
The Legendary Seedling Pet is obtainable from the Sprout Egg that costs a whopping 50,000,000 Sheckles or 149 Robux if you’d like to purchase it directly. As the name suggests, it has a light yellow base and a green stem sprouting from the top. You can buy it from Goliath’s Goods shop, and it can be accessed by climbing the top of the fully grown Beanstalk tree obstacle course. After that, you need to talk to the NPC Giant.
Make sure you contribute to the Beanstalk’s growth by submitting the required crops, because there are a couple of more ways to get this pet:
- Green Orbs on the Magic Beanstalk: These orbs spawn once you’ve contributed to the beanstalk’s growth, giving you a chance to claim the reward.
- Crafting on Cloud Island: Head to the crafting table and combine the following materials:
- 2x Beanstalk
- 1x Sprout Seed Pack
- 1x Uncommon Egg
- 2,500,000 coins
The Sprout Egg takes 4 hours and 10 minutes to hatch and has a 12% hatch rate.
What does the Seedling Pet do, and is it good?
The Seedling Pet can swap mutations between two random fruits (every 5 minutes), but note that it will skip the fruits that you have favorited. So, if you want to get random mutations on a particular high-value crop, make sure it’s not favorited for the Seedling to work on it. Keep in mind that it cannot swap Silver, Gold, or Rainbow variants, and it cannot give non-mutated fruits new mutations.
This pet will walk around your garden on its little legs, and it looks pretty cute while doing so, with its smiley face, leaves on the top of its body, and a small yellow flower next to it. If you missed out on getting the Spinosaurus in the previous major update, this pet does something similar and so, is a must-have in your inventory or garden.
