Have you just started playing Starfield and wondering what happens when you Die? Well, there will be lots of hurdles in this space adventure and your character will die on multiple occasions. In previous Bethesda Games, there’s a tradition of imposing certain death penalties like losing XP, collected items, etc., to the point of death. So, has this tradition carried over? Take a look below to know if your character’s death is permanent, or if there are any death penalties in Starfield.
Are there any Death Penalties in Starfield?
Luckily, your character’s death isn’t permanent so you don’t have to start over again. Moreover, there are no death penalties so you won’t be losing any amount of XP as well. You will simply return to your last save point and continue the session thereon. That said, make sure that you constantly save your progress before dying in Starfield. This will ensure that you remain close to your death point without having to go through a tedious playthrough again.
Besides this, you can also avoid dying mostly if you have the Best Armor Spacesuits and Weapons. For that, you can check out our guides here.
Also, I recommend you don’t rely on the Autosaved progress completely. That’s because a Reddit user recently addressed his disappointment after losing his saved files due to a bug. Other than this, there was an error that restricted players from Creating a Save File in Starfield.
