The Goats of Warding are special items in Resident Evil Village. They act as a collectible in-game item. Once you collect all 20, you will net 16000 Challenge Points. You can cash in your Challenge Points after you complete the game to unlock the Mercenary mode as well as special weapons with Infinite Ammo. You will even get two trophies, Cynic and Heretic, when you collect these collectible items. To obtain these Goats of Warding all you have to do is slash at them with a knife or shoot it using your gun. We recommend slashing these with your knife as most of them are on ground level and it will save you some ammo. Now, let’s find out how to get the Goats of Warding in RE8 Village.
Where to find all Goats of Warding in Resident Evil 8 Village
There are a total of 20 Goats of Warding around the Village. This is the order we have found them in. Spoiler Alert: There are some locations here that get unlocked as you progress in the game as well as potential important locations. You have been warned.
Location 1: Village Square
You can find the first Goat of Warding in the Village Square, next to the Graveyard. It will be placed in a small shrine of its own.
Location 2: Village Church Roof
You can find the second Goats of Warding right next to the first one. Look up at the roof of the church and you will be able to see the figurine on top. For this one, you will have to use your gun as there is no way to access the roof.
Location 3: VIneyard
The third Goat of Warding in Resident Evil can be found in the Vineyard adjacent to the castle. Go towards the rocky wall and you will be able to spot the figurine bobbing around in a corner.

Location 4: Distillery
Head into the Distillery in Castle Dimitrescu. You will find some wine/blood spilled on the floor. Look for a corner that is lit up with candles. Here you will be able to spot the 4th Goat of Warding.
Location 5: Castle Dimitrescu Attic
Climb into the Attic of Castle Dimitrescu using the ladder. As soon as you are inside, turn around and you will be able to spot the Goat of Warding.
Location 6: Lone Road
The next Goat of Warding you will come across in Resident Evil will be on the Lone Road. Head under the bridge and you will spot a small room. Inside this room, you will be able to find the figurine. It does kind of blend in with the background so make sure you keep a sharp eye out.
Location 7: Graveyard
You can find this Goat of Warding in the Graveyard behind the church. It will be located on the right side next to the boundary wall and is fairly easy to spot.

Location 8:
Head to the Fallow Plot to find this figurine. Next to the gate of Luiza’a house, you will be able to spot the Goat of Warding perched on top of a stone pillar. You will have to use your gun to shoot it down.
Location 9: Musician’s House
Head to the Musician’s House in the Village. Next to the house, you will be able to see a pile of firewood. A small roof can be seen jutting out. On top of this roof, you will be able to see the Goat of Warding.
Location 10: Suspension Bridge
The 10th Goat of Warding in Resident Evil Village is on the rope bridge next to Potter’s Field. As you head on over onto the suspension bridge look at the adjacent bridge nearby. Here you will be able to spot the figurine.
Location 11: House Beneviento
The next Goat of Warding is in the compound of House Beneviento. Go to the foyer of the house and head over to the fence on the left. Outside the fence, you will be able to spot this figurine.

Location 12: Reservoir Windmill
The 12th Goat of Warding is on top of one of the Windmill Platforms in the Reservoir. Just circle the deck of the Windmills and you will be able to see the collectible next to a pile of wood.
Location 13: Reservoir
You will have to look a little deeper for this Goat of Warding. It can be seen perched on top of a wooden pole between the buildings and a broken windmill. You will need to use your gun to knock it out again as there is no perceivable way to climb the pole.
Location 14: Reservoir Windmill
You can find this Goat of Warding in Resident Evil 8 just past the drained-out windmill, from where you can get a boat to get out of the Fishing Village. Towards the left, you will be able to see the goat figurine on top of some rocks.
Location 15: Otto’s Mill
This is a fairly easy spot. You just need to head under Otto’s Mill through the flooded entrance. Here you will see the Goat of Warding in a shrine just like the first one in the village.
Location 16: Stronghold
Go inside the Stronghold and you will see a winding staircase. Go all the way to the bottom of the staircase and keep looking on your right. You will see a couple of painted buckets with the Goat of Warding right behind them.

Location 17: Ventilation Shaft in Heisenberg’s Factory
The 17th Goat of Warding can be seen inside the Ventilation Shaft in Heisenberg’s Factory. There are two ways to get to this collectible. You can either make your way to the top of the Grinder Shaft and look with your Sniper Rifle’s Scope into the Ventilation Shaft to find the Goat on the edge. Or, you can climb further on into the Ventilation Shaft from the Grinder Shaft and approach the Goat figure on the edge.
Location 18: Elevator Scaffolding in Heisenberg’s Factory
This Goat of Warding is really tough to spot. You will have to go to the elevator where you can find Duke. Now, look out into the factory when in the Elevator and you will be able to find it perched on the scaffolding between levels B1 and B3. You can shoot it while you are in the lift itself but you will need to have some pretty good reflexes for that as the elevator is moderately fast. Alternatively, you can even have a shot at it from level MB3 outside the Elevator.
Location 19: Secret Storage room in Heisenberg’s Factory
This is a tough Goat of Warding to find in Resident Evil Village. After you defeat Sturm you will gain access to a secret room. Next to Heisenberg’s Diary and Cigar you will be able to find a small vent below. Crawl through this vent and you will enter the Secret Room. Here you will be able to find the Goat figurine on one of the barrels.
Location 20: Final Fight
During the Final Fight, after Chris is done planting the bomb on the Megamycete, you will be able to see the statue of a lady surrounded by a pool of water. Look at her feet and you will be able to see the Goat of Warding. Shoot it with your gun and you will have found all the Goats of Warding.
