Ghost of Tsushima Was Delayed To Utilize Extra Time for “Finishing Touches”

It was recently confirmed that Ghost of Tsushima, the title of Sucker Punch, has been delayed to July of this year. According to their own statements, the developers of Sucker Punch want to use the additional time effectively. It was also promised that the players would shortly be given fresh details.

During the course of the day yesterday, Sony Interactive Entertainment confirmed the rumors that Ghost of Tsushima will be delayed to July of the year in favor of The Last of Us: Part 2.

In a current statement, the developers of Sucker Punch responsible for the title also spoke about the delay of the samurai adventure. As the players were promised, the work on Ghost of Tsushima is almost complete. At the same time, we were promised fresh details about the ambitious project, which should be published shortly.

“As you may have seen, Ghost of Tsushima is moving out just a few weeks to July 17. There have certainly been challenges in adapting to game development in a Work From Home environment, but thanks to an incredible effort by our worldwide team, Ghost is nearly ready for release…,” said Sucker Punch on its Twitter profile.

They further stated that: “There are a few finishing touches to apply and bugs to squash – so we’ll put these extra couple weeks to good use. We hope you all are staying safe. We can’t wait for you to play, and we’ll have many more details on gameplay to share very soon! ”

Ghost of Tsushima was given a release date of July 17, 2020, and the title will release on PS4. This only means that the title will only be delayed for a few weeks,
