Like all the previous titles, the endgame in Diablo 4 can be unforgivingly brutal if you have no idea what’s about to come. This has got many players thinking about what to do after beating the Diablo 4 campaign. If you are new to the series, you might think of running out of all the things to do after beating the campaign. But no, once you have finished the campaign’s main story quests, you will be thrown to Sanctuary, again. Don’t worry, here’s where you can find out all the things you can do after beating the campaign in D4.
What to do After Diablo 4 Campaign (Endgame)
Once you have beaten the Diablo 4 campaign storyline and acts, there are a plethora of ways to progress through the endgame. In addition to grinding on more challenging dungeons, you will also unlock various gameplay mechanics. So, let’s breakdown all the things you can do in Diablo IV after beating the campaign:
Capstone Dungeons in Diablo 4
Compared to regular dungeons, the Capstone Dungeons in D4 are much larger and offer better rewards. You will unlock these dungeons once you have completed the main campaign. Being the best endgame content in Diablo 4, Capstone Dungeons unlock the World Tier difficulty. While you face various hordes of monstrosities in these difficulty modes, they drop 100% increased EXP and 15% more Gold. Further, the Nightmare Sigil, Unique, and Sacred Items can also be dropped by beating these mobs.
World Tiers (Nightmare & Torment)
Speaking of better gear, grinding on World Tiers with higher difficulty levels can reward you with rare items and weapons. These levels include World Tier 3: Nightmare and World Tier 4: Torment difficulty. Being exclusive to the World Tier 3 and above tiers, Helltides can also occur within these dungeons. These events will pit you against the most powerful mobs, monsters, and beasts across the Sanctuary. But with great and endless grind, comes great rewards like Tortured Gifts.
Paragon Board
From using Skill trees to the evolved Paragon Board, you can expand your character’s build with various customization options. You can upgrade your character stats with various Glyphs and nodes. As you buy specific nodes, you can increase and target the specific attributes of your character. This can help upgrade and target your character’s stats in a specific direction.
You can also rotate the Paragon Board in Diablo 4 to chart and choose a different path. For suppose, if you want to get on with a strength-based build for your character, rotate the Board accordingly to chart your path.
Codex of Power
Like the previous system, the Codex of Power allows you to make legendary and rare items in Diablo 4. For that, you need a Legendary Aspect that is dropped from various dungeons across Sanctuary. And then, head to an Occultist to upgrade selected items into Legendary gear. Considering you have entered the endgame, you would like to use it to get items with higher rarity.
Nightmare Dungeons in Diablo 4
Using the Nightmare Sigil, you can turn the D4 dungeons into Nightmare Dungeons. Unlike the dungeons you faced in the Diablo 4 campaign, these tasks you with more objectives and hordes of monstrous mobs. But on a lighter note, clearing them rewards rarer items, weapons, and other gear. If you are lucky (or unlucky) enough, you can also encounter Hell Gates while clearing these dungeons. These Hell Gates are portals that can occasionally open up across the dungeon and throw random monsters out of them. So, we recommend inviting your friend or party for taking on the Nightmare dungeons.
The Fields of Hatred (PvP)
Outside of the Sanctuary, the Fields of the Hatred is a region where Lilith’s presence is continuously spreading and growing powerful. As you head there, you can engage in Player-versus-Player combat while collecting shards. You can use these shards to buy exclusive cosmetic items and rewards from the Vendor. But the twist is that you must purify the shards before heading to the town.
So, you must battle other players in the PvP mode to save your earned Shards.
Discover your Playstyle (Endgame Builds)
As daunting as the endgame in Diablo 4 is, experimenting and trying out new builds is the only way to survive. You can respec your character into focusing on specific builds depending on your playstyle. For that, you can check out our recommended best endgame builds for every class. Or you can also use a Build Calculator to make a powerful character yourself.
Try out Hardcore Mode
If you haven’t tried out Harcore Mode in Diablo IV, you are missing out on the core fun. Since its difficulty is unforgiving, Hardcore mode features permadeath. When your character is killed, it gets permanently erased. And you must start from scratch, again. In addition to that, you also lose your game progress, farmed gold, or any gear. While having everything at stake is no fun for some, a majority of stead-fast Diablo players are enjoying Hardcore mode. We recommend trying out Hardcore mode to get the fullest Diablo experience.
But if your character dies, remember, the end is only the beginning.
