How to Get Serpent Scale Shield in Valheim
After defeating the Sea Serpent which is found in the Ocean biome, you will get Serpent Scale as a drop. You can make a Serpent Scale Shield from it. Here’s how to get it and the Crafting materials you need:
- 10 Fine Wood
- 4 Iron
- 8 Serpent Scale
Note that you need a Forge that’s on level 3 and you will be able to craft the Serpent Scale Shield in Valheim.
The first two items can be obtained pretty easily. To get Fine wood, you have to chop down Birch and Oak trees present in the Meadows biome. You need a Bronze Axe to cut down these trees. For Iron, you have to head to the Sunken Crypts in the Swamp and you can mine the Muddy Scrap Piles to obtain Iron. Once you have everything you need in the right quantity, you can craft the Serpent Shield. With that done, your main hand can have your weapon of choice and you can equip this shield in your secondary hand. In the game, it is described as a sturdy shield of overlapping scales and that it surely is. But do remember that the Serpent Scale Shield does not have the ability to parry attacks.
