The Meowmere is a Sword weapon that was one of the new additions via the massive 1.6 update but it was not mentioned in the official patch notes. Interestingly, this is a hidden reference to Terraria, where this is a hardmode, post-Moon Lord melee weapon.

How to Find the Meowmere in Stardew Valley
To obtain the Meowmere in SDV, you need to first get the Ancient Doll and ‘discard’ it to obtain the Far Away Stone. Then, use the Far Away Stone at the Wizard’s Tower to get the rare Sword item.
Here’s the step-by-step process to follow.
How to Get the Ancient Doll
- Dig up the Artifact spot in The Mountain, Bus Stop, Cindersap Forest, or Pelican Town to have a chance to obtain it.
- You can also search Fishing Treasure Chests and Artifact troves.
- Lastly, you can get an Ancient Doll as a gift from Jas, Leo, or Vincent at the Feast of the Winter Star festival which happens on the 25th of every Winter.
Since the drop rates are low (3% for The Mountain, 2.4% for the Bus Stop, 2.4% for the Cindersap Forest, and 0.8% for Pelican Town), you may take some time to get your hands on the Ancient Doll. But once that’s done, the next steps should be fairly easy to do.
How to Get the Far Away Stone
Once you have the Ancient Doll, go to level 100 of the Mines, find lava, and throw the Doll in it. A bone serpent animation will play and you will get the Far Away Stone which is also a Terraria Item.
Finally, to get the Meowmere, go to the Wizard’s Tower and visit the basement. On the right side, there will be a pylon base which is where you need to place the Far Away Stone. After a quick animation, you will get the Meowmere in Stardew Valley.
