The quest will start when you meet Ranni in her tower also known as Ranni’s Rise in Elden Ring. Once you complete Caria Manor in Northern Liurnia, you will have to beat Royal Knight Loretta and you will gain access to the Three Sisters area. Once you arrive at this location, you will spot three distinct towers and the one on the west is Ranni’s Rise.

When you reach Ranni’s Rise, you need to head to the top in order to speak with the Witch. After the dialogues are over, she will ask you to serve her. Should you serve her or not is a choice you can make after you know the pros and cons of your decision.

Keeping that in mind, if you wish to continue, you will have to complete a set of quests that will be part of this questline. Once you accept Ranni, you will be tasked to find the lost treasure of Nokron. The quest involves a few side quests that you will get as you meet Blaidd, Iji, and Seluvis, a few NPCs that are in Ranni’s service. Now, the walkthrough below will help you complete all the quests and side quests in the Ranni questline in Elden Ring.

After you have completed all the dialogues with Blaidd, Iji, and Seluvis, Blaidd will tell you to meet him in Siofra River. With this, you will unlock Seluvis’s Rise and you can now complete the Seluvis Questline. Once you reach Siofra River, head north from Hallowhorn Grounds Site of Grace and you can find Blaidd there.

Once you complete your dialogues with Blaidd there, he will tell you that he thinks Seluvis knows more about Nokron. After that, head back to Seluvis’s Rise and speak with Seluvis about this. Seluvis will guide you to Sorceress Sellen where you might be able to find out more. This conversation will help you start the festival that Alexander mentions at the start of this questline.

Upon coming in contact with the Sorceress, you will find out about Starscourge Radahn. Now, you can head back to Blaidd and then he will tell you to meet him at Redmane Castle to fight alongside you and defeat Radahn. This begins one of the important parts of the Ranni questline in Elden Ring.

Once you reach the courtyard of the Redmane Castle, you will be able to find Blaidd and Alexander the Iron Fist. While you head up the stairs, you will be able to listen to the announcer with whom you can speak and begin the festival. As you speak with him, he will provide you with information on Radahn and ask if you are ready. To this, you need to choose “Ready as I’ll ever be” for the doors to open. Now that you are inside, you will have to beat Starscourge Radahn.

How to Find Nokron in Elden Ring

Now that you have defeated Starscourge Radahn, you need to talk with Blaidd who will indicate the location of your next meeting place. However, once you are there, it will be difficult to find Blaidd. In order to speak with him, you need to move past Folorn Hound Evergaol to hear his voice. While you close up on the Evergaol, you will find out that Blaidd has been locked inside the Evergaol and you can choose to free him or not.

Once you are done with that, you will have access to Nokron which you can enter through a crater south of Mistwood Ruins. While you are here, you will have to find an important item that is part of the Ranni questline in Elden Ring. Soon, you will come across a clearing with rocks floating in the center. While you are here, you need to drop down to the ledge below and make your way to the door on your left. Soon, you will reach Nokron and you will have to make your way across rooftops now.

Now that you have reached Nokron, you will have to make your way in the northeast direction. As you keep going, you will come across a ledge on the left that you can walk across. You need to keep heading northeast till you reach the first Site of Grace in this region.

From the Site of Grace, head northeast and then take the stairs to the right. Soon, you will come up across a veiled door and once you step in, you will have to beat a Mimic Tear. The area is vast and you will have to explore a little even on the right track. However, since it helps you complete the Ranni questline in Elden Ring, it is important.

Upon defeating the Mimi Tear, a path will open up toward the northeast direction and you can see a Site of Grace here. Now keep running along the bridge and jump to the left when it slopes. As you move forward through this path, take the first opening on the left and you will find another Site of Grace.

Now jump onto the rooftops and then keep heading southwest and go around the corner. Soon you will be able to jump onto the ledge on the right where you will spot a corpse. Now you need to jump down and keep heading forward past the two Silver Tear enemies. As you keep making your way down you will come to a location with a Giant Ball in the middle. It will roll toward you so make sure you are careful.

Once you take the door and turn to the right, you will find another Site of Grace. Now, you need to head north and go inside the building and look for a chest. You will find the Fingerslayer Blade right here in Elden Ring.

How to Get to Nokstella in Elden Ring

Although it is quite confusing to find the Fingerslayer Blade, it is an important part of the Ranni questline in Elden Ring. Once you return to Ranni with it and speak with her, you will be able to unlock Renna’s Rise and get the Carian Inverted Statue. Head towards the northeast of Ranni’s Rise and you will find it. Now all you have to do is climb the tower to find the teleporter.

Now, you will reach Ansel River Main and get the Miniature Ranni doll when you come close to the open stone blocks. As you head up, you need to rest at the Site of Grace that comes up and speak with the doll. If you do it a few times, you will unlock the dialogue where she will ask you to eliminate the Baleful Shadows.

From the Site of Grace, you need to head up to the Uld Palace Ruins and go into the river. Once the first turn on the right appears, you will spot an open door. Upon taking it, you will reach the Nokstella Site of Grace.

From the Nokstella Site of Grace, you need to follow the path instead of taking the stairs. Soon, you will turn up to a building in the southern region where you can find a lift to take you down. Once you take the lift, you will be able to find the Nokstella Waterfall Basin Site of Grace.

While you are here, you can rest up and speak with Ranni once again. Now, you need to head forward and soon you will turn up to a red room. While you are here, you will be attacked by a Baleful Shadow that you need to defeat. Once you defeat the shadow, Ranni will say farewell and give you the Discarded Palace Key. You can use this key to open Rennella’s locked chest in the Grand Library and get the Dark Moon Ring. This will be useful going forward in the Ranni questline in Elden Ring.

Now, head southeast into the building and you can take the lift further down to the Lake of Rot. Next, you need to make your way across the Lake of Rot to the Grand Cloister while pressing the various buttons on the floor to raise structures. Once you reach the Grand Cloister, you need to jump down from the ledges until you reach the bottom. Soon, you will come up against a coffin and once you press Rest, a cutscene will start.

You will tip over the waterfall and soon spot a veiled door through which you will find Astel Naturalborn of the Void in Elden Ring. You need to beat Astel in a boss fight here. At the end of the boss fight, you will come across a sealed gate that can only be opened by the Dark Moon Ring that we mentioned above.

This is the last part of the Ranni questline in Elden Ring. Once you open the seal on the door, you will find an elevator that brings you to the Ainsel River Well. You will now be up onto the Moonlight Altar which is well known for the return of Glintsone Dragon Adula. You can either beat Glintstone Dragon Adula or let it slide and enter the large cathedral there.

While you are in the cathedral, you can spot a hole in the ground where you need to drop into. Here, you will be able to find Ranni and upon interacting with her, you need to place the Dark Moon Ring on her finger and swear your allegiance as her consort.

Now, Ranni will say farewell and tell you to continue your journey to become an Elden Lord. When the time comes, the two of you will rule together. After Ranni disappears, go back to the hole and you will get the Darmoon Greatsword in Elden Ring.
