The Super Mario Bros game first came out in 1985 for the NES. Ever since we have had several titles for the Mario Bros series. The characters have even undergone some name changes like Princess Peach previously being Princess Toadstool. How Old are Princess Peach, Mario, and Luigi?
Princess Peach is supposedly in her early 20s as for the Mario Bros they are 24-25 years old. Starting with Mario, Shigeru Miyamoto has confirmed in a past interview with Independant that Mario is 24 or 25 years old. When talking to him about how the character came into existence, his age was inevitably brought up. Here Mr. Miyamoto confirmed that he is just “24 or 25” years old. Interestingly, this was the only detail they had filled about the character.
Now, let us talk about Luigi. In Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island, we see Kamek steal one of the twins from the Stork. And since the game mentions the stork carrying “a pair of twins”. It only makes sense that they are of the same age.
Finally for Princess Peach, when comparing the baby versions of the above characters. You can find all three of them in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. In this game, we see Baby Princess Peach as a toddler. We can conclude she is younger than the plumber duo due to her baby form even having a pacifier unlike the other two. So it is safe to assume she must be a year or two younger. As such, Princess Peach should be 21 or 22 in the games.
