Some of the most basic features that you should know about in Baldur’s Gate 3, is how to move and rotate objects. Since there are a lot of things you can do here, these are some things that developers want you to discover while playing instead of from a tutorial. But while it is fun to stumble upon, it can be frustrating to not know how it works when needed. Because not every party member can go around moving boulders. So here is how you can push around or rotate items in BG3.
How to easily Move Objects in Baldur’s Gate 3
To move or push around objects, you have to left-click and hold the object and then place it to the new location. While this is how it is done, there are a few more things that you need to know about its working:
- A strong character: The party member with the highest strength is the best character suited for moving objects around. Because not only can they move heavy objects, but they can also place them further than other characters.
- Stand closer to the object: This game has some amazing camera controls that let you move your camera quite far from you. So while it is useful to scout the area and find different items. You cannot move around objects from anywhere. Walk up to the item that you want to shift and then drag it out of the way.
How to Rotate Objects in BG3
To rotate the objects you have to grab it and use the scroll wheel of your mouse. It is quite odd how this feature works as the game doesn’t tell you about it. But it is fairly simple once you get used to pushing items around. Rotating objects can be useful in certain situations. For example, if you want to inspect it, make space to place other items, or even just decorate your camp.
If you are looking to test this feature out you should try it on the Scuffed Rock.
Now you should have no trouble moving items & objects or even rotating them in BG3. While this was just a confusing feature, there are some bugged ones too like can’t change gender or Adamantine Forge stuck. And for help on other topics not mentioned here be sure to check our Baldur’s Gate 3 guides.
