This is applicable for the Franchise, Road to the Show, and March to October game modes. And if you’re curious, Year-to-year saves would not be provided in MLB The Show 21. But on the positive hand, MLB The Show 21 will have cross-platform saves.
In all three modes (Franchise, Road to the Show, and March to October), the game usually only saves once you finish a match or exit it. Diamond Dynasty saves your progress automatically because you must be connected to the online servers to play this game mode. So don’t expect to see a saving button there because it doesn’t require one.
