Being one of the most awaited and hyped games of this year, Hogwarts Legacy is a sweet treat to all the Harry Potter fans out there. As you progress with your academic fifth year, you will be attending several lessons or classes like Potions or Herbology. Speaking of which, Potions are an important aspect while dealing with waves of enemies or bosses. But a majority of players are wondering how to brew or unlock them. Not to worry, check out our guide on how to craft Potions in Hogwarts Legacy to find out.

How to Craft Potions in Hogwarts Legacy

You will learn to craft Potions by attending the Potions classes after completing the Herbology Class quest in Hogwarts Legacy. For that, you have to complete the Tomes and Tribulations quest. Once you have completed the Herbology Class quest, head over to the Potions Station to learn crafting Potions. Taught by Professor Sharp, this Potions class quest revolves around brewing or crafting the Wiggenweld Potion.

As you progress with this quest and lesson, you will be taught to crush and add the Potion ingredients. After adding all the ingredients, stir the cauldron to brew the Wiggenweld Potion. While brewing this Potion is particularly easy, you have to scavenge for the Potion ingredients in the future. As asked by Professor Sharp, you have to brew the Edurus Potion by collecting the ingredients from his office. But before you do so, you will be asked to steal a Fwooper Feather by Garreth.

Once you have completed the quest, you can brew or craft Potions at the Potions Station. You can find this station in the Potions Classroom at the Hogwarts Library Annex. You can fast-travel to this location to head there instantly. Alternatively, you can also place a Potions station in the Room of Requirement. For that, you can purchase a Potions Station spellcraft from the Tomes and Scrolls shop.

In total, you can brew or craft seven potions in Hogwarts Legacy with different crafting ingredients. If you are looking for recipes, check out our guide for all the Potion recipes.

    Where to Get Potion Ingredients

You can find and get most of the Potion ingredients scattered across the Wizarding World in Hogwarts Legacy. You can either buy potions directly or buy Seed or Stem packets to yield more resources. Alternatively, you can also find different ingredients in treasure chests. But in my opinion, the best way would be planting them as you can get more resources.

To save up your time, we have compiled all the Potion ingredients and their whereabouts. While some can be found around the different locations, some rare ingredients can only be found at the shops in Hogsmeade. So, check out our guide on how to get all Potion ingredients for more insight.
