Here is how each of these roles works.

Assassin

assassin which class to use in multiversus explained

Assassin fighters are fast and deal high amounts of damage. But to balance them, they also take more damage. So to keep it simple here is how you can identify them:

  • Speed: Fast
  • Damage: High
  • Durability (damage intake): Low
  • Range: Up-close
  • Support Capability: Low

This character is made to deal immense damage and finish fights quickly. In order to use it, you need to make the most out of the fighter’s speed. So engage in a fight, deal damage, and create distance when the opponent attacks. This is the very basics of how you are supposed to use the fighters from this class. These are all the Assassin fighters in this game:

  • Harley Quinn
  • Arya Stark
  • Finn the Human

Who should use Assassin: This class is for players that like to fight on the front lines. Players can make the most of this class that likes to deal the maximum amount of damage possible in the game. You should play Assassin if you are a beginner and it gets better when you have more experience with the game.

Bruiser

bruiser

Bruiser Class is a middle ground between an Assassin and a Tank. These fighters are quite fast but not too much. They can deal excellent damage but it usually doesn’t exceed the ones that Assassin can do. Lastly, they can take more hits than an Assassin but not at the same level as that of a Tank. To keep it simple:

  • Speed: Quite Fast
  • Damage: Good
  • Durability (damage intake): Medium
  • Range: Up-close
  • Support Capability: Depends on the character

The main potential of this class lies in combos. The more you can use your normal attacks in combos the more damage you can deal to your opponents. These are the characters in this class:

  • Batman
  • Shaggy
  • Taz
  • Jake the dog
  • LeBron James
  • Garnet

Who should use Bruiser: This class is for players that like to attack in combos. Just like an Assassin you need to be on the front lines when playing as a Bruiser. This class is the most beginner friendly out of all classes in the game.

Tank

tank classes breakdown for multiversus

The fighters in this class are the ones that absorb damage. They can easily take hits and you will find it hard to ring out them quickly. But it comes at the cost of their speed. They aren’t as nimble as an Assassin or a Bruiser. Here is the breakdown of a Tank:

  • Speed: Slow
  • Damage: High
  • Durability (damage intake): High
  • Range: Up-close
  • Support Capability: Medium to High

The fighters in this class are:

  • Wonder Woman
  • Superman
  • Iron Giant

The most effective way to use these fighters is by stepping into fights and taking the damage for your teammate. You can use them especially well with a Mage fighter. So while they are preparing their attacks from behind you can charge ahead and take the hits while they attack.

Who should use Tank: Players that like to play slow should play Tank. It is not that you can’t play on the front lines as a tank but your role is more to let your teammate do the damage. This is also a beginner-friendly class, as you can take many hits while you are still learning the game.

Mage / Ranged

mage ranged

The Mage / Ranged class as the title suggests is to be used to attack from far. These characters are harder than the first three classes because you are meant to use them in a tricky manner. The goal is to distract your opponents by interrupting them while attacking from a safe distance. Here is how you can breakdown this class:

  • Speed: Medium
  • Damage: High
  • Durability (damage intake): Medium
  • Range: Far
  • Support Capability: Medium

The characters in this class are:

  • Tom and Jerry
  • Bugs Bunny

Who should use Mage: The players that don’t like to fight up close should use the Ranged fighters. These characters can deal some really excellent damage but it requires quite a lot of practice. This fighter is not exactly beginner friendly, but once you get used to the game you can start playing as these characters.

Support

support

The main use of Support characters is to give buffs to the teammates and debuffs to the enemy. They are also used for healing allies. They can deal a good amount of damage with the right buff. But as their class name suggests they are meant to support more than fight up close. Here is the breakdown for the support class:

  • Speed: Medium
  • Damage: Low to Medium
  • Durability (damage intake): Medium
  • Range: Up-close
  • Support Capability: High

The characters in this class are:

  • Velma
  • Reindog
  • Steven Universe

Who should use Support: Players that like to let their teammates fight while providing them heals and buffs should use a support character. This is not exactly a beginner-friendly class but you can get used to it after some practice.
