Watch Dogs Legion allows you to recruit and play as anyone you can find on the streets of London City. It is certain that you won’t be able to complete the entire game without your operatives dying during various missions. Now, the question that arises here is what happens if an operative dies in Watch Dogs Legion. We are here for answering just that very question.

What Happens if an Operative Die in Watch Dogs Legion?

If an operative dies in Watch Dogs Legion, he or she will end up in a hospital or being completely dead. The end result doesn’t depend on the amount of damage taken, if you are thinking that, instead it depends on the Permadeath mode or in other words difficulty level.

The game gives you an option to change the difficulty by switching to Permadeath mode. When an operative dies with Permadeath on, he or she will be gone for good. If that happens, you will no longer be able to use that character or any of the special abilities that he or she hold. You might have to then recruit other NPCs to fill the gaps.

You can turn off the Permadeath mode anytime you want. All you need to do is go to Options > Gameplay> Permadeath Mode and then switch it off. This will disable the Permadeath mode and then you will see a different result when an operative dies in Watch Dogs Legion.

With Permadeath turned off, what happens to operatives after they die is that they end up in a hospital. Once they are admitted to the hospital, a countdown starts, and until it ends, you won’t be able to use these characters.

Now, you know what happens if an operative dies in Watch Dogs Legion. Hence, it is important to keep switching between operatives based on the missions and their strengths. You should also consider upgrading weapons and equipping your character with the best ones so that they don’t die.
