One of the largest areas in Baldur’s Gate 3 is Underdark and you will need a map for it. There are many things to do so you can easily get lost here. But that isn’t the only reason you can be lost. This area has plenty of story quests and various NPCs and merchants to find. From the Sussur Tree in the northwestern region to the Arcane Tower in the south, you have a lot to look forward to when it comes to this place. So here is a quick guide on how to get to Underdark in BG3 and things to do here.

Exploration
This place can be beautiful visually, with areas like the Sussur tree, but they can be equally dangerous. An optional quest that you can complete here are Finish the Masterwork Weapon or you can go get the Chest of the Mundane from the Arcane Tower.

How to Get to Underdark in BG3
There are 4 different ways you can reach the Underdark, but not all of them are safest. For this guide let us check the one which brings you to the Selunite Outpost of Underdark.
- Go to the Goblin Camp.
- Open the Heavy Oak Doors to get to the Shattered Sanctum.
- From here, make your way to the Defiled Temple.
- After entering keep going straight then turn left from what looks like the sacrificial altar.
- Use the key you get from Priestess Gut.
- In Defiled Temple, go to the coordinates X: 435 and Y: 50.
- You will reach a hall where a source of light falls on the ground.
- This is a puzzle, rotate the 4 discs and align the 4 black dots with the light source.
- It will open the door behind use this newly opened passage to go down.
- You will now reach the Temple of Selune.
- Destroy the moonstone and use the lever to open the gates and reach Underdark.
