Like the SquidFest, The Stardew Valley Annual Trout Derby is a two-day event where you will be catching a specific kind of fish. However, your goal is not the fish but something else. Stardew Valley Annual Trout Derby Location, Date and Time
The Annual Trout Derby takes place on the 20th and 21st of Summer. As the name suggests, it is organized every year on the same date. The festival area is in the Cindersap Forest, near Marnie’s Ranch. If you walk south from the ranch, you will spot a booth on the side of the river. It starts at 6:10 am and ends at 2:00 am. You will receive a notification about it when the event starts. The festival is only two days long, so it is better to make sure you reach there as soon as it commences.
How Does The Annual Trout Derby Festival Work in SDV
In this festival, you must submit a Golden Tag for the rewards. Each tag will give you a specific or random item, depending on how many times you have done the exchange. You get this tag in two ways – from Rainbow Trouts and Fishing Treasure Chest. Both of these can be caught by fishing in the river within the event area. The Rainbow Trout has a 33% chance of dropping the item, which increases with the number of fish you have caught at once.
Tips to Make Profit in Festival
Use Challenge Bait: You can catch multiple Rainbow Trouts at once by using the Challenge Bait. The bait lets players catch up to three fish at once. Additionally, it reduces the delay time of fish nibbling for the assigned fishing rod.
Use Bait Maker: Bait Maker allows you to create baits for any specific fish. You unlock it at Fishing level 6 and use it by placing one fish of the type whose bait you wish to make.
