How to Cure Poison in Spelunky 2
Poison in Spelunky 2 is quite punishing – it will drain you of one heart every 30 seconds. You can get it from an annoying Hermit crab hidden in a box so you need to know what to do if you encounter it suddenly. Remember to act fast in order to cure it – the more hearts you have, the better. In case you have less hearts (like two), then it will be very tough to remove it quickly.
So, what do you have to do to remove poison? Simply bring a dog to the exit of the level and walk to the next level. Making sure that you bring the pug (and yourself) alive is the challenging part. As soon as you are poisoned, you have to quickly make your way to the dog or look for it if you don’t know where it is. Since your health will be low, you have to hope that it is somewhere nearby.
