Apart from many other ranged weapons in Sons of the Forest, a Slingshot is one that you shouldn’t miss. It is the only weapon with infinite ammo as there are rocks everywhere. However, a Slingshot is not readily available to you for use. Much like any other item, you will have to do a bit of exploration to get your hands on it. So, what can you do to obtain a Slingshot? Here’s everything you should know.
Sons of the Forest Slingshot Location
Unlike a Rebreather or Cross (Secret Weapon), one can find the Slingshot much more easily. Those who have found the Shovel, Slingshot can be found in the exact same location. It is located on the western side of the snowy mountain. For your reference, we have marked the location in the image below:
Upon reaching the location marked above, you will find 3 standing corpses that have sticks shoved through their bodies. Simply close in near the corpse in the middle and collect the Slingshot from there.
How to Use a Slingshot in SOTF?
Now that you have the Slingshot in your Inventory, let us know how to use it. Thankfully, there are rocks scattered throughout the map so we will never run out of ammo. If you have a rock in your Inventory, it will be automatically placed on the Sling when you equip the Slingshot in Sons of the Forest.
Moreover, keep in mind that you can only use smaller rocks as Slingshot ammo. Rocks that are comparatively large in size can’t be used to hit a creature. So, make sure to pick up the right side of the rock before trying to use a Slingshot in Sons of the Forest.
