June brings a wide range of new fish and bugs to catch and the Ribbon Eel in Animal Crossing New Horizons is one of them. Along with the Great White Shark and the Piranha, players can get their hands on this slippery and colorful creature as well. Want to know how to catch it? Then this guide will help you out.
Catch the Ribbon Eel in Animal Crossing New Horizons
For those in the Northern Hemisphere, the Ribbon Eel will be available in the months of June, July, August, September and October. The best thing is that it can be caught all day and there is no specific time to adhere to. Its spawn location is at the sea, so that’s where you need to get to fishing. Make use of fish bait for this purpose. Simply throw the fishing line into the water, wait for the fish to bite the bait and reel it in quickly.
As for the shadow of this fish, look for a long and thin shadow in the sea. You might be expecting a snake-like shadow, but that’s not the case. To be honest, it looks like a normal fish when it is underwater. Only when you pull it out of the water do you realize that it is this unique fish you were looking for. Check out its shadow below.
When you sell it, you will get 600 Bells. You can also donate it to Blathers’ Museum if you would like.
The Ribbon Eel is available from December to April for those with islands in the Southern Hemisphere, so these players need to wait a bit for this colorful fish.
