Where to Find Tomo’s Cat in The Forge

Published Date :

Tomo’s lost cat is one of the most talked-about side quests in The Forge, mainly because it is tied to late-game progression and a hidden cave most players don’t find on their own. If you’ve started the quest and hit a dead end, don’t worry, this guide walks you step by step to the exact location of the cat and how to complete the quest smoothly.

Tomo’s Cat’s Location in The Forge

Tomo’s cat can be found in World 2 – Forgotten Kingdom. Here, you need to enter the Goblin Cave and find a Secret room behind a waterfall. However, the journey to this point isn’t quick.

To reach it, you must:

  • Unlock the Forgotten Kingdom
  • Complete all five Goblin King quests
  • Use the key to open the Goblin Cave
  • Walk through a hidden waterfall wall inside the cave

This entire process requires you to mine some rare ores and collect a lot of in-game money. So, let’s start from the beginning.

Step 1 – Start the Lost Cat Quest

Before doing anything else, you need to activate the quest.

  • Travel to Stonewake’s Cross (World 1).
  • Follow the path toward the Wizard’s Tower.
  • You’ll find Tomo the Explorist sitting on rocks near the road.
  • Talk to him and accept the Lost Cat quest.
  • Once accepted, your objective is locked in: you must find and return his missing cat.

Step 2 – Unlock the Forgotten Kingdom (World 2)

The cat is not in World 1. You must unlock access to Forgotten Kingdom, which is part of mid-game progression. To unlock it, you’ll need to get to level 10 and also complete Sensei Moro’s prologue quests. This gives you access to a portal that you can place and select Forgotten Kingdom from the window to enter World 2.

Step 3 – Find the Goblin King

Once inside Forgotten Kingdom:

  • Explore the map to find two goblins guarding a gate
  • Pass through, and you’ll reach the Goblin King
  • The Goblin King controls access to the cave where Tomo’s cat is hidden.

Step 4 – Complete All 5 Goblin King Quests

This is the most time-consuming part. You must complete all five Goblin King quests to unlock the cave.

Here’s the full cost breakdown:

  • Quest 1: 5,000 gold
  • Quest 2: 10,000 gold + 3 Topaz
  • Quest 3: 15,000 gold + 5 Diamonds
  • Quest 4: 20,000 gold + 5 Emeralds
  • Quest 5: 25,000 gold + 5 Rubies

So, you need a total of 75,000 gold and multiple rare gems for this purpose. These gems drop from higher-tier rock types found in Forgotten Kingdom, so expect to spend time mining. Make sure to use Luck boost potions to make things a bit easier and faster.

Step 5 – Get the Cave Key and Enter the Goblin Cave

After completing the fifth quest, the Goblin King will leave his throne and a large key will be left behind. Pick up the key and use it on the nearby locked stone door. This unlocks the Goblin Cave.

Step 6 – Find the Hidden Waterfall Room

Inside the Goblin Cave:

  • Follow the main tunnel and soon you will reach a section with flowing water.
  • Look for a waterfall along the cave wall. This is a hint that there’s something behind it (as it is in many, many games). Go ahead and walk directly through the waterfall.
  • Behind the waterfall is a hidden passage that leads to a secret chamber. Inside this room, you will finally find Tomo’s cat resting on a stone platform.
  • Now all you need to do is interact with the cat to collect it.

Step 7 – Return the Cat to Tomo

Once collected, use your portal or backtrack to Stonewake’s Cross (World 1) and talk to Tomo to give his lost cat back.

Rewards for Returning the Lost Cat in The Forge

Players will receive various rewards such as an XP boost, cash, a special Title (Cat Lover) and a unique badge.

Is Tomo’s Cat Quest Worth Doing Early?

No, it is not recommended for early-game players because of the heavy requirements to get to this point.

  • The Goblin King quests alone require 75,000 gold
  • Rare gems have low drop rates and you need better pickaxes for mining which can be obtained after some grinding.
  • Forgotten Kingdom enemies are much stronger than World 1.

This quest is best completed once you already have a strong pickaxe, decent combat power and reliable gold farming methods.
