God of War Ragnarok has a plethora of skills and techniques that you can unlock for Kratos, the Ghost of Sparta. As Kratos and his companions’ journey across the Nine Realms, you can unlock several skills. One of these includes the Permafrost technique that can be used with your Leviathan Axe. But several players are quite confused about this skill or technique. So, check out our guide on what is a Permafrost in God of War Ragnarok.
What is Permafrost in God of War Ragnarok
As mentioned before, Permafrost is a type of Skill under the Technique skill tree that can be used for Leviathan Axe. You can spend 500 XP to unlock this technique on your Ax.
- With this technique skill unlocked, you can cause Frost damage to your enemies on every hit.
- To charge your Frost attacks, you need to melee attack your enemies. All you need to do is spam the melee attacks on your enemies.
- Furthermore, Permafrost also offers bonuses to Luck and Runic stats when active.
- These bonuses can increase your chances to get more quality loot and increase your damage by Runic Attacks.
That being said, Permafrost is one of the best skills to unlock early in GoW Ragnarok. Similar to other skills, you can also upgrade the Permafrost technique. You can upgrade it to Glacial Permafrost skill to enhance your melee attacks. It also increases the range of the Frost waves for a brief time on each hit. But upgrading this technique requires 1500 XP.
