Bottle Caps are a unique currency in MHST2. You can use them to purchase a variety of upgrades from Melynx Inc. Bottle Caps are significantly harder to come by than other things in-game. So if you are having difficulty farming them then here’s our guide on how to find & get Bottle Caps in Monster Hunter Stories 2.
How to Find & Get Bottle Caps in Monster Hunter Stories 2?
To get and farm Bottle Caps in Monster Hunter Stories 2, you need to find them in Everdens on your map. Everdens are permanent Monster Dens in certain locations that always contain treasure chests with Bottle Caps. These are unique monster dens that appear on the map. Note that ordinary monster dens do not show up on your map. The number of Bottle Caps that you can get changes, thus they may give as few as four caps, or as many as a dozen, and etc.
Aside from looking at the map, you can determine the difference between an Everden and a regular monster den just by looking at them. They have many smooth stone pillars, unlike monster dens, which are made out of a single, jagged boulder. They feature a flat roof entrance, which distinguishes them from Monster Dens. Each Everden will also have a unique den name based on its location. The inside of these Everdens is usually larger than a typical Monster Den. Once inside you’ll need to look for treasure chests to get Bottle Caps in Monster Hunter Stories 2.
Quests are the second major source of Bottle Caps. On your map, look for the blue exclamation mark symbol, which signifies that you have more tasks to do. Although they are uncommon at first, some NPCs in the villages will give you missions in return for Bottle Caps. These aren’t the normal quests you get via the Quest Board, but you get them as direct requests from NPCs.
