MLB The Show 21 is one of the best baseball simulations ever made, and like many of its hidden secrets, jumping and diving is not revealed to the player. You don’t get many practice sessions to try out your abilities. And it’s very hard to determine the exact timing and method to dive properly in the game. So for all of you who are wondering about this mechanism, we will be taking a look at this today in this guide.
How to Jump and Dive in MLB The Show 21?
To dive in MLB The Show 21 you need to rush towards the ball, then press RT on Xbox and R2 on PlayStation. And to jump you simply need to press RB on Xbox and R1 on PlayStation. It’s that easy.
By pressing RT on Xbox and R2 on PlayStation, your character will throw himself towards the ball with hands outstretched. To get a successful dive you need to launch yourself at the exact right time ball is within your hand distance. This might take some practice, but you will get the hang of it soon. Make sure to remember the right buttons so that you don’t miss a ball by doing a jump instead of diving and vice versa.
The best way to fix this by going through options and turning on ONE BUTTON DIVE/JUMP. So now if you press either R1 or R2 / RB or RT, the character will automatically dive or jump towards the ball depending on the situation.
But you don’t have to worry about all of this cause devs have kept the feature on by default. But if you are playing in Competitive mode, then this will be turned off for you. Then still, you can enable it by going into the settings. So if you are having trouble in Competitive mode, just turn this feature on and you are good to go.
