Lock On is a skill of Monster Hunter Now players get with some Armor pieces. It lets you lock the target and makes it easier to take down big monsters. But since features like Lock On aren’t typically an armor skill, players are having a hard time unlocking and using it in MH Now. If you too found it difficult to get and use this skill in the game, you have come to the right place. This guide covers everything you need to know about the skill, including what armor pieces have it, at which level will they give the Lock On skill, and how to use it in MH Now.
How to Get and Use Lock On in Monster Hunter Now
Two Armor pieces unlock the Lock On skill after a certain Level Up and Grade. Rathian Vambraces and Kulu Headpiece give this skill. The Rathian set is unlocked after crafting twenty armor pieces, but the Kulu set becomes available very early in the game. So it is better to focus on Kulu Headpiece as a beginner. In Kulu Headpiece, it is an Overgrade or Grade 2 skill. This item requires some Kulu-Ya-Ku Hide, Kulu-Ya-Ku Plume, and Monster Bone M for Overgrade.
You get Kulu material by killing Kulu-Ya-Ku monsters. The monster is found in deserts, swamps, and forest areas. And it is weak towards the Water. So collect the material, Overgrade the headpiece, and wear it to unlock the Lock On skill of Monster Hunter Now. Once you have done that, follow these steps to use it.
- Go to the main screen and look for any monster. You can use the Paintball list too.
- Start the Hunt. And you will see a Lock On button in the right corner.
- Tap on it, target will get locked on any part of the monster.
