How To Kill Demons In Sons Of The Forest (Exorcise Guide)

Published Date :

One of the many enemies that you encounter in Sons of the Forest includes Demons. Don’t worry these are endgame enemies, but that doesn’t make them any less scary. You find them in caves with lava, so they have a good amount of lava immunity. These enemies are quite scrawny and have their fingers fused of their hands. Similarly, their toes fused on their legs. But surprisingly there is a simple way to deal with them. So here is how you can kill demons in Sons of the Forest.

The only way to Kill Demons is by burning them using a cross. When you first get a cross you might not be sure of its use. As it is too small and a weakly-looking weapon to use against most enemies. But that is the catch, it might not be useful against most enemies except one. And these enemies are Demons. Here is what you should do when you come across a demon:

  1. Equip the Cross by pressing I to open your inventory. If you added it to your bag then you can even quick slot it.
  2. As soon as a demon rushes to attack you, attack it with the cross.
  3. This will start burning it, and you will even hear them screech.
  4. That won’t kill it just yet, the demon might fall down for a bit. But the demon still has some fight left in it.
  5. You should attack the demon with the cross at least thrice in total to completely defeat it.

A tip that should help you kill it faster is, you should to try to be close to it. Demons have a very good range when attacking you. But you won’t be able to attack them from afar. So being closer to one will help you finish it off faster.

Where to Find the Cross to Beat Demons?

You can find the Cross at the northeastern bunker on the island near the coast. Make sure you get the Maintenance Keycard from Maintenance hatch A before it. As it will be needed to access the bunker. I suggest you check our detailed guide for it on how to get Cross.

That covers this guide on how to Kill Demons in Sons of the Forest. You should also find our guides useful on all bunker locations and how to complete the hanged man quest. And for other help on this game check out our Sons of the Forest section.
