Overwatch 2 Junker Queen: How To Unlock & Play (Tips & Strategies)

Published Date :

The launch of Overwatch 2 features a plethora of characters in this fast-paced and chaotic universe. While some are recurring characters from the predecessor, some are unique characters. Junker Queen is the newest addition to the sequel which features a wide range of abilities. She is a Tank character that can deal with several enemies in close-range combat. Compared to other characters, she has more weapons up her sleeves. But to maximize her overall damage, you need a great strategy. So, check out our guide for tips and strategies on how to play as Junker Queen in Overwatch 2.

How to Unlock & Play Junker Queen in Overwatch 2 (Tips & Strategies)

Junker Queen can be unlocked only by the players that have played the original Overwatch. To unlock this character, log in with the account you used for Overwatch 1. Once you have logged in, you need to complete the tutorial and some quick matches to unlock her. Along with Junker Queen, you will also unlock the Sojourn. But as mentioned, it is unlocked and rewarded only to the original players. So, here are some important tips and strategies while playing as Junker Queen:

  • As mentioned before, Junker Queen does have multiple weapons up her sleeves. This includes a Shotgun, Axe, and Knife weapon.
  • Her primary weapon is the Scattergun Shotgun which deals with opponents in close-ranged and medium-ranged combat.
  • Adrenaline Rush is the passive ability that allows her to heal from all the damage dealt by wounds. These wounds involve damage from all the opponents. The more you land consistent attacks on your opponents, the more her kit rewards you.
  • While this ability isn’t much more reliable than Tracer’s Recall ability, it allows Junker Queen to survive longer in a match.

  • She also has a healing ability or buff that allows her to increase her health. This ability is known as Commanding Shout and it allows her to increase her health by 200. It is an AoE ability that also increases the health of your nearby allies by 50.
  • In addition to that, this ability also increases your movement speed by 30%. We suggest saving up this ability to use it only in dire circumstances.
  • You can also use the Jagged Blade ability for a quick melee attack on your opponents. You can throw blades against your enemies and reactivate them to have it again.
  • The best part about this ability is that it wounds your enemies as they deal with the damage over time.
  • You can use a combo attack of the Scattergun and Jagged blade to cause heavy damage. Alternatively, you can also use the Carnage ability with the Scattergun.
  • Speaking of the Carnage ability, it is a melee attack similar to Jagged Blade. The only difference is that it allows her to swing an Axe instead of a Knife.
  • While the Carnage ability deals with close-range, it can be used against enemies like Doomfist and Reinhardt.
  • Lastly, you can use the Rampage ability to finish off the horde of enemies. Rampage is an Ultimate ability that not only inflicts heavy damage but also heals you and your team. But make sure to use it against a big group of enemies.
