Earlier, Overwatch was a 6v6 battle experience but now it is reduced to a team limit of 5v5 players. This change came along with a few extra buffs and nerfs applicable to all Heroes in OW2. For Zenyatta, he incurred nerfs like a deduction in Base Shield from 175 to 150. Also his Orb of Discord which took 3 seconds to drop off target when not in the line of sight, now takes only 2 seconds. Whereas, looking at the other side of the coin, there is some beneficial buff given to Zenyatta in Overwatch 2. Zenyatta now uses a Snap Kick that causes a Knockback to the enemy. He now deals 50% more damage through her melee attacks in the match.

- Zenyatta is a Support Class Hero in this game and mainly focuses on Healing. Zen’s Orb of Harmony and his Ultimate, Transcendence can heal allies effectively. It is recommended to avoid engaging in close-ranged battles, instead, Zenyatta can be a brilliant support backup.
- It’s not like Zenyatta’s only task is to heal his allies in Overwatch 2. His Orb of Destruction can prove to be fatal as one shot to the head can decimate the opponent. Further, if a durable character like Winston or any other shows up, it is possible to make them more vulnerable by using the Orb of Discord ability.
- Always make sure that your allies or enemies are in your line of sight. This is because abilities like the Orb of Harmony (beneficial for allies) and Orb of Discord (harmful for the enemy) fall off target when out of site.
