And if you are wondering what to do at that moment to get Oatchi up and running, then check out this guide further to know how you can heal him in the game.
How to Heal Oatchi in Pikmin 4
There are 2 effective ways through which players can heal Oatchi in Pikmin 4. But before we recommend you unlock the Heal skill for the space pup to increase the rate at which his health recovers. This makes it relatively easy for Oatchi to restore his health after facing off against enemies in the game. With the skill and the other 2 methods, you will be able to actively heal your companion in Pikmin 4. So let’s take a look at the ways through which you can get him up and running:
Scrummy Bones
Scrummy Bones are Oatchi’s favorite snack to feed on, so no wonder they restore his health energizing him for another round. Players can come across Scrummy Bones pretty easily in Pikmin 4 to heal Oatchi. You will be able to purchase the snack from Russ who is the in-charge of the lab for 3 raw materials. If you don’t have enough material at your disposal, you can earn it as a reward for training Oatchi. You can do this with the help of Shepherd, the captain of the rescue corp. Get the Scrummy Bone from your backpack by holding down Y and throwing it toward the space dog.
Drinking Nectar
Not only does Nectar help you increase the maturity of your Pikmin but also lets you heal your companion Oatchi in Pikmin 4. You can find Nectar all around in Pots, Nectar Eggs, and Honeywisps in the game. If you come across any Nectar Eggs make sure to use Oatchi’s rush ability to break them. It will restore some of his HP in the game.
It is worth mentioning that even after being reduced to 0 HP, Oatchi won’t die instead he will be temporarily knocked out in the game. He will be sent back to the base to recover his health. Players will have to head back to the base and wait for him to heal while resting in the game. Though you will be able to take him for your rescue adventures at any time during his recovery period, we recommend you wait till he restores to full HP. Especially when you don’t have Scrummy Bones at your disposal.
