Where Are The Guns In Dying Light 2?

Updated Date :

Zombies and shooting in games go hand in hand. But what happens when there are a ton of zombies but no gun for you to shoot them with. Dying Light 2 has done that with the way how guns work in this game. The weapons you use aren’t the same as they were in the original game. So in this guide let us take a look at where are guns in Dying Light 2 and how to get the Boomstick gun.

All Guns in Dying Light 2

There are no guns in Dying Light 2 for the player to use except the Boomstick gun. But we will get to Boomstick gun in a bit. As for the other guns in the game, they aren’t there.

According, to the game’s story the military has managed to confiscate the guns from the citizens. Hence you can only see NPCs carrying guns around. And due to the outbreak of the zombies, there are no skilled gunsmiths left alive. So that answers the question of why there are no other guns in this game. And why you won’t see any Sniper Rifles, LMGs, Shotguns, etc.

But if I had to comment on the choice of the game not adding any guns, I kind of like it. The game already gives you several other weapons and there is also a lot of parkour in the game. Keeping the guns might have made the game too easy. But since you don’t get any guns you have to rely on the melee weapons the game offers. And if you still want to use ranged weapons, then the game still gives you bows to use.

How to Get the Boomstick Gun

  1. Complete the Observatory mission.
  2. After the mission, go to the craft master and buy the blueprints of the Boomstick gun from them. It will cost you 400 coins.
  3. You can buy it from any craft-master in the Peacekeeper territory.
  4. Lastly, you’ll also need 100 scraps to craft this gun.

Once you have the blueprints and the scrap parts go to the crafting menu and craft the gun.

That covers everything you need to know about the Dying Light 2 guns and how to get the Boomstick gun. Don’t miss out on our other helpful guides on if this game has crossplay, how to change FOV, best weapons, and the best gears in Dying Light 2.
