God of War Ragnarok features a plethora of Path story quests and side quests for players to complete. As Kratos & Atreus unlock Mystic Gateways, they embark on the journey to find out Tyr, the Son of Odin. While the Surviving Fimbulwinter quest was full of fighting Norse gods and monsters, the Quest for Tyr requires completing some perplexing puzzles. You will also encounter several beasts and boss enemies on your journey. Having said that, you might need some extra help finding Tyr. How to Get to Tyr in God of War Ragnarok
As mentioned before, you need to complete several puzzles and defeat some mini-bosses to get to Tyr. To simplify this, we have mentioned all the critical points you will face in the Quest for Tyr:
- Solve the Blocked Gate Puzzle to Get Nornir Chest
- Dock your Boat at Nidavellir
- Get to Durlin by meeting Raeb
- Complete Favour Quests (Optional)
- Reach the Broken Train & Fix it
- Dreki Boss Fight
- Get into Dwarven Train Ride to reach Mines
- Search the Mines to find Tyr
- Solve the Applecore Puzzles inside the Mines
- Hateful Boss Fight
- Ease out Tyr and break him out
- Escape using Mystic Gateways
Mentioned below are all the objectives that you can complete to get to Tyr in God of War Ragnarok:
- Journey to Nidavellir
- Explore Nidavellir
- Boat to Durlin’s office
- Exit Durlin’s office to the port
- Reach the mine beyond the Mountain
- Reach the front of the Broken Train
- Fix the broken train
- Ride the train to the mines
- Search the mines for Tyr
- Pursue Tyr
- Exit the mines with Tyr
- Escape through the Mystic Gateway
- Confer privately with Mimir
Once you have talked to Mimir privately, a cutscene will be triggered. This would conclude the Quest for Tyr story quest. As a reward for completing this story quest, you will earn 750 Kratos XP and 375 Atreus XP.
