Floating Ring Ruins is an area that you cannot get into easily in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (TOTK). This is especially true if you didn’t do the quests before it. And while you can technically head straight to fight Ganondorf it is not really recommended. But if have completed the Regional Phenomena or if you are looking to learn more about these Ring Ruins. Then this guide will not only help you access it but help progress in the game. So without further ado, here is what you need to do.
How to Complete Secret of the Ring Ruins in Zelda TOTK
You need to get the Charged Set and go to the new Sky Island Thunderhead Isles for it. These objectives are part of the Find the Fifth Sage main quest. Make sure you complete the Regional Phenomena Quest and talk to Purah in order to start it. Lastly, you should also unlock the Camera. Once you are done with these prerequisites follow the steps below:
- Go to Kakariko Village. You can get here by fast traveling to the Makasura Shrine.
- Talk to Paya and inform her about the Imposter Zelda.
- She will now remove the restrictions of accessing the Ring Ruins.
- Climb up and use your Ascend ability to reach inside the Floating Ring Ruins.
- Now, take out your Purah Pad and take a photo of the Zonai Slab.
- Show it to Tauro and after a discussion, meet the Zonai Survey Team at the base of the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower.
- Talk to Calip then head to Dracozu Lake and find Tauro.
- Tauro will give you Clues about the Charged Set. You can find the Charged Set Shirt in the same room inside the chest above.
- For the rest of the Armor set keep following the snake trail marked on the map below and go to the following coordinates.
- Charged Trousers: 0951, -2706, 0013
- Charged Headdress: 0985, -2829, 0013
- Finally, reach the tail of the snake (check the circle in the above map).
- Head inside this room and place a Zonai Charge on the Altar while wearing the Charged Set.
- A cutscene will take place and reveal the discovery of a new Sky Island.
- Fast Travel to the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower and launch yourself up and head to the Thunderhead Isles.
- Make your way to the Joku-u Shrine in the Thunderhead Isles.
- Now, cut open the Vines and reach the next room.
- Open this door, and make sure you have at least 10 Hearts for it.
- Interact with the green-hand Sigil and you will complete the Secret of the Ring Ruins quest objective.
