The Eye Armor Trim is a new item featured in the latest Minecraft 1.20 update along with other Smithing Templates. These templates like Tide Armor Trim and Silence Armor Trim are used to customize your armor. Based on the smithing templates in your possession, you can try various combinations to design your armor. However, obtaining these templates is no easy task. All of these templates are located in places that are tough to reach. In this guide, you will learn where to find the Eye Armor Trim, and how to craft it in Minecraft 1.20 update.
Where to Find Eye Armor Trim in Minecraft 1.20 (Location)
The Eye Armor Trim template resembles the eye of the ender. Players can find the Eye Armor Trim in the Library Chest located in Minecraft Strongholds. Alternatively, players can also find it in the Altar Chest, but the drop rate is 10%. So you may have to open many chests to get this template.
Since Minecraft Strongholds are under the ground, they are tough to find. These are complex buildings with passages, levels, a library, dungeons, and a portal at the end. They are also filled with hostile mobs like Silverfish, making it even more difficult to navigate. To make it easier, here’s a guide on how to find Strongholds.
How to Craft the Eye Armor Trim (Duplication Recipe)
Once you get the template, you can duplicate it with Diamonds x7, End Stone, Crafting Table, and an Eye Armor Trim. To craft this template:
- Open your Crafting Table.
- Place the Trim at the top of the middle row, End Stone at the center, and the Diamonds around it (As shown in the image).
- Now, you have a brand new Eye Armor Trim that you can place in your inventory.
You can use this recipe to create as many trims as you need and add ornaments to your armor.
