Genshin Impact: How To Get Star Glitter

There are multiple in-game currencies in the free-to-play action-adventure game Genshin Impact. It is natural to get confused between all the currencies including primogems, masterless star glitter, stardust, and more. Among all of these Star Glitter is very important as they can be used for three different purposes. In this guide, we will walk you through how to get star glitter in Genshin Impact and where to use them.

How to Get Star Glitter in Genshin Impact

To get star glitter, players will have to get more wishes and use them. Wishes are used to unlock and get new characters in the game. When you receive any duplicate character, you will be rewarded with the currency Masterless Star Glitter instead of the character.

The amount of Star Glitter you receive depends on the rarity and the number of time you are getting a duplicate character. For instance, a 4-star duplicate will give 2 Star Glitters and getting it for the eighth time will get you 5 Star Glitters. Similarly, a 5 star Tier S duplicate will give 10 and getting it for the eighth time will get 25 Masterless Star Glitters in Genshin Impact.

Where to Use Masterless Star Glitter in Genshin Impact

Star Glitters can be used for three main purposes. Firstly, there are certain characters in the store that you can buy upfront with Masterless Star Glitters. Each character costs 50 Star Glitters. Secondly, they can be used for purchasing Acquaint or Intertwined Fates, which can then be used to purchase wishes and unlock new characters. Purchasing Fates consume 7 Star Glitters each. Thirdly, you can use them for buying equipment and upgrade materials. Equipment costs 35 Star Glitters and upgrades materials take 3 Star Glitters.
