How To Get To Blurg In BG3 & Should You Tell Him Your Story

Updated Date :

One of the main objectives in BG3 is to get rid of the parasite you get during the opening of the game. As you progress, you will eventually have to find a Hobgoblin named Blurg to help you out with it. Sure he doesn’t directly do anything about it. But he plays a crucial role in introducing to an important NPC.

So if you are wondering about the location where you can find him. Or if you have already met him but are having second thoughts on whether should you tell him the truth about your story, then below are the answers you are looking for.

Where to Find Blurg in BG3

You have to go to the Myconid Colony to find Blurg. It is located in the northern region of Underdark. There are 4 ways to enter it, but the recommended entry point is from the Goblin Camp. You can check our detailed guide for it here.

  1. Start by going northwest from the Selunite Outpost.
  2. You can recognize Myconid Colony when the frequency of mushrooms starts to increase.
  3. Enter the colony and keep going up, then turn a right to find Blurg the Trader.

You can now interact with him and check his inventory to see if he has any items that you need. Some of the notable things he owns include:

  • Scroll of Blur
  • Scroll of Detect Thoughts
  • Scroll of Self Disguise
  • Scroll of Feather Fall
  • Scroll of Protection from Evil and Good
  • Scroll of Web
  • Circlet of Blasting
  • The Sapphire Spark
  • Sunwalker’s Gift
  • The Lifebringer

Should I tell Blurg the Whole Story?

Yes, it is ideal you tell Blurg the truth of why you are in the Myconid Colony or looking for him. When you tell him about the parasite and how you are looking to get rid of it, he will introduce you to Omeluum, a Mind Flayer.

This lets you progress the Investigate the Parasite questline. When you talk to him make sure to select these options:

  • Yes, Absolutely
  • Relax and let Omeluum’s mind search your own

Omeluum will analyze the parasite and tell you more about it. In case you aren’t ready to progress the quest yet you can deny it and come back to talk to him later. Whatever you do don’t kill him as that will end the questline for this playthrough.

That’s all on how you can find Blurg in Baldur’s Gate 3 and if you should tell him the truth. Since you are here I suggest you also check our all choices and consequences guide for this game to help you out with more such decisions. As for help on other topics don’t miss out on our BG3 section.
