Making money in The Forge is all about efficiency. Players who struggle usually rely on just one method – either mining, quests, or combat. The fastest players combine all three, so every minute pays them in gold, gear, and progression. In this guide, you’ll know the best money strategies for the early, mid, and late game.

How to Farm Cash Fast in The Forge

You earn money by:
- Completing quests
- Selling raw ores
- Selling crafted weapons and armor
- Collecting gold dropped by enemies
- Selling old Pickaxes that you don’t use
The key to getting rich fast is knowing what to sell, when to sell it, and what NOT to sell yet.
Early Game (Level 1 – 15): Fast Starter Money
1. Always Stack Quests While Mining
Make sure to never mine with zero quests active. Early NPC quests pay small amounts, but they stack quickly and unlock better areas. While breaking rocks for quests, you’re also collecting ores to sell or craft with – double profit for the same effort.
If you’re mining anyway, make sure every swing progresses at least one objective.
2. Mining Strategy
In the early game, your pickaxe is weak. That means your goal is speed, not rare rocks.
- Focus on low-HP rocks you can break quickly
- Avoid slow, high-HP nodes even if they look valuable
- More broken rocks per minute lead to more ores per hour
- Sell excess ore only after keeping what you need for crafting.
Buying some gamepasses and Totems may help speed up your initial grind.

3. Claim Your Index Rewards

Every time you discover the following:
- A new ore
- A new weapon
- A new armor piece
You unlock free one-time cash rewards in the Index. Many players forget this entirely, even though it adds up to a surprising amount early on.
Mid Game (Level 15 – 35): Consistent Money Per Hour
At this stage, you should have:
- A solid pickaxe upgrade
- Access to stronger enemies
- The ability to forge more valuable gear
This is where money farming brings in the best value.
1. Use Dense Mining Routes
Some cave paths contain tightly packed rock clusters. These are perfect for fast farming because you can hit multiple rocks without moving much, and farm ores quickly. At this stage, your goal here isn’t rare drops – it’s volume.
2. Craft for Profit
Instead of selling raw ore, you should now focus on profit crafting:
- Craft heavy weapons (like large axes or heavy swords)
- Craft medium to heavy armor pieces
- Use cheap, farmable ores, not rare ones
- Sell the completed item instead of the raw materials

Heavier items use the same ore slots but sell for much higher value, which is why they are better than selling raw resources.
3. Focus on Completing Quests
Some quest lines require large amounts of ore and money, but they unlock new areas, better enemies, and higher-tier farming zones
Late Game (Level 35+): Maximum Profit Methods
This is where players stop worrying about small profits and start generating huge amounts of cash per hour.
Semi-AFK Enemy Farming
Some enemy spawn areas naturally funnel enemies toward your position. With the right gear, you can stand in one spot and continuously attack. Let the enemies repeatedly walk into range and collect money by fighting enemies. When you do this in Forgotten Kingdom, you can earn anything from $35 to $130, depending on the enemy. For example, the Elite Rogue Skeleton drops XP, top-tier essences, and 35-70 Gold.

3. Endgame Craft-Selling Loop
Once you’re comfortable in the endgame, your money loop might look something like this:
- Farm ores from dense rock zones
- Farm essences from strong enemies
- Craft high-value weapons or armor
- Sell crafted gear
- Sell essences in bulk
- Repeat
Biggest Money Mistakes Players Make in The Forge
- Selling only raw ore instead of crafted gear
- Ignoring quests while grinding
- Chasing rare rocks too early
- Delaying pickaxe upgrades
- Farming slow enemies instead of fast-spawning ones
Avoiding these mistakes alone can double your money per hour. If you’re wondering where to find Ruby, mine Cuprite, get Bard’s Missing Guitar, or even Tomo’s Cat, check out our linked guides to get the answers.
