Starfield Early Access Xbox Fix

  • Try updating the Art Book: As per Reddit user u/Onlyhere4funbruv, this method seemed to work. You can update both the game and the artbook and restart your Xbox. Once it is back on, try playing and it should work.
  • Deselect Premium Upgrade: An alternative fix that worked for user u/matthewgoodnight was to deselect the premium upgrade.
    1. Go to order History
    2. Here, view or manage premium upgrade.
    3. Deselect it and save the changes.
    4. Try playing now and you shouldn’t have this issue.
  • Delete Save Data: Another fix that could work for you is to Manage Game Data and delete the save data for Starfield. Restart your Xbox and check if the game works.

PC Fix

  • Launch from Windows search: This method is somewhat tied to the above main fix.
    1. Close Gamepass for PC.
    2. Search for Starfield on the Windows search bar and launch from here.
    3. The game should directly launch now.
    4. In case you do get the “You’re too early” error, then try launching it from the Microsoft store.
  • Verify File Integrity: If you have the game on Steam then you can try verifying the integrity of game files. Once it is done restart the system and the game should start working this time.
