The Pickup is one of the first main jobs that you receive in Cyberpunk 2077. Similar to Beast In Me, you will be given a choice to either shoot or pay Royce for the Flathead bot in this main job. There is a notorious fixer in Night City named Dexter Deshawn, who hires Jackie and V to retrieve the Flathead bot from Royce, who happens to be a new leader of Maelstrom gang.

The Pickup: Should You Shoot or Pay Royce?
When you meet Royce and his bunch of goons, you will be given multiple dialogue options but each one leads the same interaction. You will be shown the following two options but you will have to choose one.

- [Take down Royce] Requires six Body points
Irrespective of what option you choose, it will set you up for the big decision of either paying or shooting Royce. The lack of Body attribute points will force you to choose ‘Draw Weapon’ option. From there, you will be able to make three major decisions:
Pay With the Militech Chip
Upon meeting with Meredith Stout, you will get a chip with a virus on it. The same chip can be given to Roye as payment but make sure to remove the virus before giving it to Royce. If you have not removed the virus and give it to Royce, their gang will turn hostile and you will have to fight Royce.
If you managed to defeat Royce, you will be given a cool weapon called the Chaos Tech Pistol and Maelstrom jacket and some Eurodollars as a reward.

If you hand him over the chip after removing the virus, Royce will be pleased and tell you to take the Flathead bot and leave. But before you even get out of All Foods, Mititech guards will show up and you will have to fight with them as well. It should be noted that the Militech option will always lead to violence, although the hostile faction changes depending on your decision with the virus.
Shoot Royce
If you have not received the Militech chip from Meredith Stout then you can get it through another route. When you kill Royce, his gang members will become your enemy and you will have to defeat them. Once you have defeated them, you will be able to loot Royce’s Chaos Tech Pistol and scavenge the materials from the other Malestrom bodies before leaving All Foods.

Pay With Own Money
This is the easiest option but it needs you to have a decent amount of Eurodollars. You can only get The Flathead bot if you give 10,000 Eurodollars to Royce. Getting that amount of money is not easy because this mission takes place in the first few hours of the game. Once collected enough money, pay him and take Flathead bot and get out of the situation without indulging in fights.
