Sniping is never meant to be easy, especially in hunting games like The Hunter: Call of the Wild. Luckily, there is a system in place to help you be more accurate with every shot. This is known as weapon Zeroing. It is a rifle perk that gets unlocked after you reach Tier 2. However, as helpful as the Zeroing system is, many players struggle to use it. If you are one of them, then our guide can sort out your problem. Here is how to Zero your weapons in The Hunter Call of the Wild.
How Zeroing Works in The Hunter Call of the Wild
Zeroing works by adjusting the sights of the weapon according to the distance of the target. So, for instance, if you set the zero of your sights to 300m as you target the heart of a Moose who is standing 300m away, you will hit the target easily. However, if you set your weapon zeroing at 150m, then you will miss the targett completely. This is because your sights won’t be able to account for the extra 150m bullet drop. So, in simple words, if you want to kill any animal 150m away from you, then you should zero your sights to 150m as well.
To measure the distance between you and the animal, place a waypoint at the target.
This will help you determine the distance you will have to keep your zero at. Zeroing has to be precise for smaller targets like gray foxes, ducks, or geese. To activate the Zeroing perk, you will need to go to the Perks option and then select the Zeroing perk. Once you have activated it, all you need to know is how to use it on your gun.
How to Use Zero Perk in The Hunter COTW
You can use the Zeroing perk by pressing the “F” key on PC, R1 button on PS4/PS5 controller, and RB button on the Xbox controller. Once you do that, you will be able to change the Zero for your rifle sights.
That’s all you need to know on how to Zero your weapons. We hope you learned how the Zeroing system works for rifles. For more guides like this, visit our The Hunter COTW section.
