What’s a rhythm game without the instruments to join in? With the Fortnite Festival now in full swing, players can get to check out the mode which features Guitar Hero development studio Harmonix leading the charge. That being said, the main cause for concern that most players have is whether they can use Guitar Hero Controller in Fortnite Festival.
Considering that nostalgic fans would want an experience such as this, it is a valid concern that players have. Currently, the controls are limited to Key binds and console triggers, but there is hope for the future.
Can you Use the Guitar Hero Controller in Fortnite Festival?
Epic Games has confirmed that a mode to support Guitar Hero Controller in Fortnite Festival is under development and a priority for the team. However, there won’t be more updates on it until 2024. While it won’t be immediate, Epic has responded to the concerns of the fans which means we will have an instrument controller soon.
However, there are drawbacks considering most instrument controllers are quite old and may cause hinderance while playing the game. Hopefully, Epic and Harmonix can come up with a solution pretty soon, or maybe new guitar controllers altogether.
Having said that, it should also be noted that some players have found a workaround by hooking their custom guitar controller to the PC version of Fortnite. However, there is no way to do so with the console so far. Even you can try inputting the controller on your PC and trying it out this way. Don’t worry, we will update this guide soon enough once there is more for players to do.
