How To Unlock Skins In Mortal Kombat 1 (MK1)

You can unlock and use skins in Mortal Kombat 1 to change the appearance of your character in the game. The skins can be ‘Kustomized’ using Palettes and Gear, along with other Unlockables. Palettes in the game help your character to change into a different outfit and offer a variety of different color schemes as well. With regard to Gear, it will carry Weapons, Masks, and other add-ons that you can use to customize your character appearance a little more. These unlockables are available for both Fighter and Kameo characters.

Unlocking Skins in MK1

One way of unlocking Palettes, Skins, Costumes and Gear in MK1 is through progressing. You will have to complete Story Missions and Invasions Mode. Every time you successfully complete and win in a Story mission, you will be rewarded with certain items from the Gear and Palettes section, as soon as you finish the final round.

Along with that, every time you level up in the game, you will be given an item as a reward for leveling up. You can also collect Mortal Kombat 1 Dragon Krystals, which are the form of currency in the game. This can be used to purchase your desired set of pieces from all the amenities available in cosmetics.

Keep in mind, if you want to unlock specific Gear or Palettes, for a certain character, using that character will help you get them. The more you play with that character, the more items you can unlock belonging to that character.
