Aside from the 5 starting classes, you can also unlock the Engineer Archetype in Remnant 2. As per its description, this class specializes in Heavy weaponry. Be it the one you carry or the one you can place and use like a turret, the Engineer class offers you both. Getting this class is rather straightforward but definitely not an easy thing to do. The region where you get it is not exactly the safest place in the game. But if are of the Explorer class, and have the Treasure Hunter skill, you can speed things up. So here is how you can find the Alien Device and get Engineer in Remnant 2.
How to Unlock Engineer in Remnant 2 (Location)
To get the Engineer Archetype, you have to find the Alien Device and use it at Wallace. It can be found in the N’erud region:
- Start by completing the campaign once.
- Now, go to N’erud.
- Next, head to either the Timeless Horizon or the Eon Vault. The area you get to will be filled with poison fog.
- Make sure you wear light armor as that can help you move around faster. Also, the first time you reach here, your character will vomit.
- Using Treasure Hunter, or by exploring you should find a dead engineer in the fog.
- On its body, you can find the Technician Armor set.
- Next, look below for a yellow/golden glow nearby and you should find the Alien Device.
- Now, go to Ward 13 at the docks and talk to Wallace.
- Use the Alien Device to get Drzyr Caliper. For it you will need:
- Alien Device x1
- Lumenite Crystal x10
- Scrap x1000
- Equip your new Drzyr Caliper Engram and you can play as Engineer.
