But unlike previous installments, unlocking weapons in MW 2 works slightly differently. So, check out our guide on how to unlock Chimera in MW2.

How to Unlock Chimera in Modern Warfare 2

Currently, there is no way to unlock the Chimera Assault Rifle in COD MW2. While its arrival date is a bit uncertain, it’s planned to release during Season 1. You can unlock the Chimera AR by purchasing the Store bundle or completing the weapon unlock challenges. There’s not much information related to which store bundles or the challenges you have to complete, as of now.

Nevertheless, the weapon challenges would entail players grinding on different weapons within the same category. So, it might require grinding on a lot of similar weapons. While Victus XMR and Bas-P SMG would be available at the Battle pass launch, Chimera and M-13B AR would arrive amidst Season 1 of Modern Warfare 2.

We will make sure to update this guide once we get any word from Infinity Ward related to unlocking Chimera. Till then, you can check out our comprehensive COD MW2 Wiki Guide for the latest tips, tricks, strategies, and more.
