How to Unlock the Ultima Weapon in FF16
To get Ultima Weapon in FF16, you’ll have to craft it while playing the game in ‘Final Fantasy’ difficulty settings. For those who don’t know, this difficulty option is a part of the New Game Plus. And NG+ is unlocked after you have completed all the story missions.
After starting FF16 in Final Fantasy difficulty, you must complete the Blacksmith’s Blues Side Questline to be able to craft the Ultima Weapon. Here’s the entire questline for your reference.
- Blacksmith’s Blues (August): Unlocks at the Hideaway after acquiring Eikon of Lightning, Ramuh in a story quest.
- Blacksmith’s Blues II (Mid): Unlocks at the Hideaway Reading Table after helping out Mid in building an engine.
- Blacksmith’s Blues III (August): Unlocks at the Hideaway after beating the Sleipnir boss fight.
- Blacksmith’s Blues IV (August): Unlocks at the Hideaway after encountering Barnabus.
Once you have completed this quest line, you will unlock the recipe for forging the Ultima Weapon in Final Fantasy 16. Next, you can now interact with Blackthorne for using the forge. From there, you can craft the Ultimate Ultima Weapon and use it for good.
