How To Turn Off Gliding Rings In Spider-Man 2?

Updated Date :

Happily soaring through the skies of New York but want to turn off the gliding rings in Spider-Man 2? You aren’t alone. Many players have complained about these rings as they can break your immersion.

These rings are cool for your first few flights and can act as a tutorial for how to glide. But after a while, you might want to just fly through the air freely by looking at the wind gusts. So here is why you can see them, and if there is an option to switch them off.

How to Disable Gliding Rings in Marvel’s Spiderman 2?

How To Turn Off Gliding Rings In Spider-Man 2

You cannot turn off the gliding rings in the game, at the time of writing this article. As you might expect, the gliding rings aren’t actually there but become visible due to the AR built into the masks of both Peter and Miles. So according to user u/zhire653, they are actually part of the lore. You can check out their comment here.

Now, you might think that if it is a part of the AR and appears due to scanning, then you can just not scan when you glide through the wind tunnels. Ideally, if that were the case then it would have been a great workaround but in actuality what happens is when you enter a gust after soaring for a few seconds the remaining gliding rings show up on their own. Although you can still glide for a bit before they appear.

It is possible that the developers could release an update in the future and let players turn it off through settings. However, this isn’t official and developers haven’t commented anything on it yet.

That’s all on if you can turn off gliding rings in Spider-Man 2. If you are interested in other topics of this game be sure to check our guides on how to get Hero Tokens, all map locations, and how to switch characters. As for help on other topics you can also visit our Spiderman 2 section.
