How To Transfer Passives By Skill Breeding Pals In Palworld

Want to have the strongest Pal in Palworld? You should try breeding to transfer the best skills.

Breeding is possibly one of the most resourceful features in Palworld when it comes to finding the strongest Pals in the game. Sure you can explore the world and catch each and every Pal and discard or butcher the ones with bad skills but that is relying too much on RnG. Instead, a rather effective method would be to take two of your strongest Pals and breed them. But things aren’t as simple, here is what you should do to make sure the offspring Pal has the best Skills, IVs, and Passives in Palworld.

As mentioned above, the method comes down to selective breeding. Before you check the details thanks to TagBackTV on YouTube, for sharing their useful video on it. In this video you can see their experiments on how they bred several different Pals to get the perfect one, so be sure to check them out below:

Now here is how it works.

To begin with, your IVs are a hidden stat and the game doesn’t explicitly show them. So in order to know which Pals in your Palbox are the best for breeding you have two options. Either use an IV calculator or mods that directly show you your Pal’s IVs in-game. Xbox players will have to use the calculator. Now, that this is out of the way, here is what you do:

  1. Take two Pals that have the highest base stats for Health, Attack, Defense, and the best Passive skills.
  2. Breed them several times. In the above example, TagBackTV used, Fengelope with Univolt to get several Kitsun, and Beakon with Necromus to get several Astegon.
  3. Next, out of all the Kitsun and Astegon they picked the two best ones with the right stats to breed multiple strong Shadowbeaks.
  4. Finally, they bred the best Shadowbeaks with each other until they got the perfect Shadowbeak with all the required stats.

One of their tips was to make sure you breed Pals with a pair of two Legendary Skills with each other. Rather than if one has 3 Legendary Skills and 1 Legendary Skills. This way the offspring had a higher chance of having all 4 Passive Skills.

Last but not least, it isn’t always guaranteed that all of the stats will get passed down from the parent Pals to the child Pal. There is a chance it receives none of the stats, some of the stats, or a mutation with a mixture or balance of the stats.

That is all on how you can breed Pals and transfer skills in Palworld. Speaking of breeding, make sure you also check our guides on how to hatch eggs faster and control egg temperature.
