Swap Guns Quickly in Splitgate

One of the best advantages of Splitgate is the fact you can quickly swap guns. If you ever run out of bullets, you can just switch to another gun instead of having to reload. This drastically reduces the time it would take to reload your weapon, enabling you to stay in the action. This also means that you have better chances of not being shot by opponents as you’re busy reloading yourself.

Use Portals Wisely

Portals are one of the most exciting elements in Splitgate, and with good reason. These portals enable you to be able to jump across locations in the game rapidly, making the game much more exciting to play. However, you will need to master the right way to use these portals in order to use them to your advantage. One of the best tricks is to open one portal right next to you, and the other right behind an opponent. By doing so, you can launch a surprise attack on an enemy and catch them off guard. Portals will offer you the opportunity to launch such attacks on your opponents even if they are located on another end of the map.

Closing Portals at the Right Time

In the previous trick, we mentioned how you can use portals to attack opponents. However, you can also use portals to defend yourself in the game. This depends on the timing and strategies you use to close portals. If you close your portals at the right time, you will prevent opponents from following you. You can also use portals to flee from an attack.

Shoot Through Portals

In the last two tips, we discussed how you can use portals to defend yourself. You can also use portals to fire bullets through. All you will need to do is make sure that your opponent is visible through the portal. If the opponent is visible, you can aim through the portal and just fire at them.

Use EMP Grenades to Destroy Opponent Portals

In Splitgate, you cannot use grenades to kill enemies. You can, however, use them to destroy your enemies’ portals. EMP grenades are great weapons you can use to destroy opponent portals. Doing so reduces your chances of being attacked.

Pick Weapons During Games in Splitgate

When you begin a game in Splitgate, you will be given a few default weapons. While these weapons are not too bad, you will have the opportunity to upgrade by acquiring better weapons. To do so, you will need to look for weapons during games. These weapons spawn randomly during the game, so you will need to keep your eye out for these spawn points. Participate in Splitgate Races

Taking part in races is a great way of getting to know and learn the map layout in Splitgate. Knowing the map layout is important as you can use this knowledge to your advantage during matches. To take part in races, you will need to go to the Training tab located in the main menu. Once you do so, you will find the option to take part in races located to the left. From here, you will be able to choose a map. After that, you will need to get around the map as quickly as possible. While doing so, you will also need to collect oddballs and discoballs. Make Use of the Triple Portal

If you play Splitgate, you may have heard of a term called a ‘triple portal’. The triple portal basically is a method of rapidly traveling across the map. It involves the setting up of multiple portals to get from one point of the map to another point quickly.

Avoid Camping Unnecessarily

While playing Splitgate, you may be tempted by the prospect of lying in wait for your opponents to come within sight so you can attack them. However, in reality, this might not be such a good idea. While the thought of opening portals and waiting for enemies to come across may sound appealing, you need to remember that Splitgate is a game that involves quick action. This means that by camping, you will only be wasting time you could have spent killing opponents. Also, camping means that you will make yourself vulnerable to enemy attacks via portals. An enemy could create a portal right behind you and kill you as you camp. Because of these disadvantages, we advise that you avoid camping unless it is absolutely necessary.

Use Jetpacks

Jetpacks make moving around Splitgate’s maps much quicker. Using a jetpack will also enable you to have a better vision of your opponents, making it easier for you to kill them while avoiding being spotted yourself. While you are in the air, you will also have the option to create portals, helping you to move even more quickly.

Increase Splitgate Controller Sensitivity

When you play Splitgate, you will have the option to alter the controller sensitivity according to your preferences. Some players might find the default sensitivity to be slow or unresponsive. Altering the sensitivity of the controller will help you have better control while you play the game. The only difference in this particular tip is the fact that the sensitivity of the controller varies from player to player. We recommend you take a look at the sensitivity settings and experiment a little bit until you find the right value.
