With various Eikon Battles showcased, FF16 has caught the attention of many stead-fast players. Previously known as Summons, these godly and magical spirits were used during the endgame in past Final Fantasy titles. Instead, it looks like Eikons will be playing a major role in the main and side-content of FFXVI. Rather than being used as a finishing attack, Eikons are tied to multiple Dominants. But with every Eikon having its Dominant, finding how many Eikons or summons are there can be a bit confusing. And what are the names of these Eikons? Don’t worry, here’s a list of all the Eikons in Final Fantasy 16.

How Many Eikons are in Final Fantasy 16
As of now, there are ten Eikons confirmed in FF16. Unlike the past Final Fantasy titles, these summons are controlled and wielded by the Dominants. These characters are the chosen heroes that can take on the elemental powers of Eikons and transform during combat. Unlike other characters, Clive can summon the elemental powers of multiple Eikons at once.
Here’s a list of all the Eikons in Final Fantasy 16:
- Phoenix
- Ifrit
- Shiva
- Garuda
- Ramuh
- Odin
- Titan
- Bahamut
- Titan Lost
- Typhon
The above Eikons were revealed from the trailers and the most recent Demo. So, let’s break down all the above Eikons with their Dominants and elemental powers:
Phoenix
- Dominant: Joshua Rosfield
- Elemental Power: Fire
Being the first aspect of fire, Phoneix is an Eikon whose elemental powers are wielded by Joshua Rosfield. This dominant is the second son of the Archduke of Rosaria and the younger brother of Clive Rosfield, the protagonist of FF16. From the trailers showcasing the Eikons battles, you can see Phoneix battling the Bahamut.
Ifrit, the Infernal Eikon
- Dominant: Clive Rosfield
- Elemental Power: Fire
Ifrit is an Eikon inherited by the main protagonist, Clive, in FF16. Speaking of Clive Rosfield, he is blessed with the ability to wield a part of the fire of the Phoneix Eikon. Since he was dubbed as the First Shield of Rosaria, he was tasked with guarding Phoneix. It all comes down to the end when Phoneix and Ifrit battle against one another. And due to the events during the Night of Flames at Rosaria, Clive inherits Ifrit taking down the path to vengeance. Ever since then, Clive’s life is never the same.
Shiva
- Dominant: Jill Warrick
- Elemental Power: Ice
This Eikon is an aspect of ice that is inherited by Jill Warrick. While playing a major role in the story, Shiva’s dominant was raised by the Rosfield family from a young age. She is a close friend of Clive that joins his journey against the dangerous Eikons in Final Fantasy 16.
Ramuh
- Dominant: Cidolfus Telamon
- Elemental Power: Lightning
This Eikon’s dominant is Cidolfus Telamon also known as Cid. He is a former soldier turned outlaw and acts as a mentor to Clive Rosfield. He will be joining forces with Clive and his companions to clash against dangerous Eikons.
Garuda, the Warden of Wind
- Dominant: Benedikta Harman
- Elemental Power: Wind
Garuda is an aspect of Wind and one of the enemy Eikons that Clive and his companions will face in Final Fantasy 16. This Eikon’s dominant is Benedikta Harmon, the Warden of the Wind. She is in command of Waloed’s elite intelligencers and is currently on a mission to find the second Eikon of Fire. As from the trailers, we see her fighting against Clive’s Eikon, Ifrit.
Odin
- Dominant: Barnabas Tharmr
- Elemental Power: Air
Odin is an Eikon whose dominant is Barnabas Tharmr. Though his masterful skill with blade won him a kingdom, local beastmen rose to revolt against his power. During that time, Barnabas summoned the power of his Eikon, Odin.
Titan
- Dominant: Hugo Kupka
- Elemental Power: Earth
While previously a foot soldier, Hugo Kupka rose to power in the Republic with Titan Eikon. Being a forefront of the Dhalmekian politics, he is the most powerful man influencing the nation’s armies and policies. As one of the most powerful Eikons, Titan was seen battling against Ifrit from the State of Play.
Bahamut, the King of Dragons
- Dominant: Dion Lesage
- Elemental Power: Light
Bahumut is an Eikon that will clash against Ifrit and Phoneix in FF16 story campaign. This Eikon’s dominant is Dion Lesage that has oftentimes used its power to turn the battle in their favor.
Titan Lost
- Dominant: Unknown
- Elemental Power: Unknown
Using its massive tentacles spreading out of the body, Titan Lost is a rock-based Eikon. While this summon’s name sounds similar to Titan, its relationship is currently unknown. As compared to Ifrit, this Eikon is significantly larger and has many tentacles. Titan Lost can potentially be a variant of Titan Eikon in FF16.
Typhon
- Dominant: Unknown
- Elemental Power: Unknown
Typhon is the most recently added Eikon in the Final Fantasy series. From the Demo, this mysterious character floats above the ground while having no legs. Since he was also showcased in the previous “Revenge” trailer, this Eikon might play a big role in FF16.
